Claire Foundation Builds Homes for Orphaned children in Uganda, Africa
In December of 2005 Claire Foundation made a donation to Watoto Child Care Ministries in Uganda Africa to build two homes for orphaned children, in memory of Claire and Robyn. Watoto Child Care Ministries has been building homes and villages for orphaned Ugandan children since 1994. The concept of the villages is holistic. Eight children are placed in a three bedroom home with a loving house mother who will raise them and attend to their needs. Watoto then finds sponsorships for each child.
The Claire Foundation trust has committed to sponsoring all of the children and the mothers in the two memorial homes.

Watoto Children’s Villages homes have electricity and running water. They are furnished and the children have their own bed, a very rare thing in Uganda. The villages have an elementary school, a high school, and a medical clinic so that children may be educated and have their health care and dental needs met. The homes are constructed by local builders. Church groups, businesses and other organizations put together teams that travel to Uganda to help with the builds.
Family & Friends Travel to Uganda to Help Build the Homes

In August 2006 some of Claire’s family members, and two friends, traveled to Uganda to join an international team of volunteers helping to build the two homes. Claire House and Robyn House were constructed in Suubi Village, outside the city of Kampala.
When the team left Uganda, the homes had been built. Only the roof and interior were left to be completed by the local builders.
The Families have moved into Claire House and Robyn House
On February 14, 2007, Claire House and Robyn House became home to sixteen children and two house mothers.

The Main Goal of the Claire foundation Fundraising efforts is to support the Children and House
Mothers in Claire House and Robyn House
The Claire Foundation is raising funds in an on-going effort to meet the goal of sponsoring the children and mothers in Claire House and Robyn House. Each year we will need to raise $10,000 dollars to ensure the continuation of the sponsorship commitment we have made to these children. We hope to raise enough funds so that the children and mothers living in these homes now, and in the future, will be sponsored in perpetuity.

The Claire Foundation will be building a third home in Suubi Village in 2010, in memory of Taylor James Crabb.
