In addition to The Claire Foundation's ongoing support of the children in Uganda living in Claire and Robyn houses the foundation has this year also sponsored 2 families stricken by the earthquake in Haiti through Shelterbox Canada and 3 families affected by the floods in Pakistan in co-operation with Disasteraid Canada . Additionally The Claire Foundation is in the process of purchasing a number of Gifts of Hope through Plan Canada. We invite you to visit these charities' websites and make a contribution to these very worthwhile projects. It doesn't take a lot to make a big difference in people's lives.

Grade six students at Northridge Public School in London, Ontario are learning about children in Africa through the Claire Foundation. As part of their Social Studies Programme, teacher Jenny Madamba wanted to raise her students awareness about social justice issues around the world.  Mrs. Madamba taught her class about the Watoto children’s villages and about Claire House and Robyn House. The students held a fundraising event for the Claire Foundation and raised $175.00 dollars at a bake sale.  The money will be used to help support the children in Claire House and Robyn House in Subbi Children’s Village in Uganda. The Northridge students are also going to write to the children in the homes.  Thanks to Jenny Madamba and everyone involved with the effort, and special thanks to the grade six students at Northridge Public School in London!

In August 2006 Faye Fraser, along with family members and friends, helped build Claire House and Robyn House in memory of Faye’s sister, Claire Fraser and her best friend Robyn Buffington.  The Claire Foundation donated the funds to build the houses in Uganda Africa.  The houses are now home to sixteen children who were orphaned and two house mothers who care for them. The foundation sponsors all the children and the house mothers in the homes.

It was Faye’s dream to return to Africa to meet the children in the houses.
